For every full rotation of the fan blades, the FG circuit generates a fixed number of electrical pulses. The frequency of these pulses is directly related to the fan’s rotational speed. A higher rotational speed leads to a higher frequency of the output signal, and a lower rotational speed results in a lower frequency. The generated frequency signal can be easily measured and processed by external control systems or monitoring devices.

The second digit represents the level of protection against liquid ingress, ranging from 0 (no protection) to 8 (protected against long – term immersion in water under specific conditions). The “4” in our IP54 rating shows that the fans can withstand water splashes from any direction, providing reliable protection in environments with occasional water splashing.
